headspace Cairns (under the direction of the RFDS (Qld) Services Limited) is an innovative youth service, delivering primary and mental health, alcohol and drug services, social welfare and vocational services to young people aged 12-25 years.
The Manager - headspace will provide strong clinical leadership to the multi-disciplinary team dedicated to exceptional care to young people in the Cairns area. The role will oversee strategic planning, operational accountability, including quality and reporting, and further develop systems and relationships essential to the service. This role requires clinical expertise, including being able to respond effectively to clinical crisis and high-risk situations, and a thorough knowledge of the mental health system of care across clinical and community sectors.

Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will need to hold tertiary Mental Health qualifications in the professional areas of Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Nursing with relevant registration or membership.
You will be someone who has an inherent ability to balance strategic and commercial direction with operational requirements, while maintaining your commitment to the highest quality of service delivery. Your flexible leadership and communication style will enable you to engage and influence at all levels.
